How to Turn Ideas Into Reality

There is a method of attaining every thought that you have. You can actually make all of your dreams come true as long as you are willing to do the work. What you need to learn is how to make your ideas and dreams into your reality.

This is something that everyone knows but not a lot of people actually follow through with. It is common sense. When you read it on this article, you are going to think “I’ve heard that a thousand times.”, but it’s the truth.

The way to take those random thoughts of glory fame success or whatever you want into reality is to take immediate action towards attaining them.

There it is. The sentence that you have heard a million times. Take action. It is a lot easier said than done so what I am going to tell you is exactly how to take action.

The easiest way to take action to make thoughts into reality is to write it down. Successful people all around the world have learned to carry a little booklet with them to capture all of their thoughts and ideas.

Writing down your idea might not seem lite a lot of action, but it is definitely the first step in the process. It is a small action that leads into the next small action that leads into another small action and once you add up all of these small actions taken towards achieving the thought that you wrote down, it will equal massive action and be a huge step towards your goal.

That is the basics of success. The absolute first step is write it down. Writing your ideas down helps you in a few different ways. The first is that it lets you think about your idea more. You can add to the plan of action that you need to take towards achieving it. Or it helps you think it over to prevent you from wasting your time chasing after frivolous things.

Writing your idea down also gives you time. If you immediately went chasing after every thought that came across the viewing screen in your brain, you would probably never be able to focus on one singe thing. This would be mentally disastrous.

So like I said before, just write your thoughts and ideas down first so you can turn them into action plans.

FORGET GOALS – MAKE PLANS

Goals are just dreams until you take action. Anyone can say that they have goals and that they will be a better human being once they achieve them, but all that they are doing is dreaming.

Once you turn your goal into a plan, your success rate skyrockets. You know that you are on the right path and you know exactly what to do.

That is why so many new years resolutions fail, because they are just hopes and dreams. People tell themselves how the should be better, but don’t actually take action.

Write down your goals and dreams, make them into realistic plans on how to achieve your goals dreams and ideas, then follow through.

It is extremely simple, but most of the human race is just happy being told what to do ,instead of thinking for themselves about what they should do.

Now, today’s homework is to get yourself a small notepad and a pen that you carry with you everywhere. You will write your ideas down in it. Not just your good ideas that will make your life infinitely better, but the small ones too.

Use your small notepad as a to do list and know that just writing something down is the first step towards accomplishing it. Even if it is buying milk on the way home from work.

Forget making goals.

Goals are only dreams.

Start making detailed plans of action.

If you can train your self to take action on every good idea that you have, you are going to be astounded by the amount of accomplishents that you can achieve over a very little time frame.

One of the best motivational ideas in the world today is that the one key to success is the ability to take action on your dreams, goals and ideas.

The first step in turning dreams into reality is to take action. That action should start small. Keep a pen and paper in your pocket and write down every idea that you have. You can also use your phone to do this, you just need the right app.

Once you have that idea in writing you have taken the first step towards success. Any action no matter how insignificant, has a ripple effect. It is not up to you to make those ripple larger and larger until they become waves.

Keep Moving. Always Forwards. Don’t Hesitate.

The Benefits of Being You

There are time in life when you are going to hate yourself. Times when you are going to think that being anyone would be a better situation than the one that you are in.

Those times come to everyone. They come, then they go. They will pass. It might take longer than you want it to for those times to pass, but it will pass.

If your moment of self loathing lasts longer than you want it to, there is an easy method of passing the depression quickly. It is called GRATITUDE.

It is something that many people don’t practice in their lives. I don’t know why they don’t do it either. Perhaps they were raised poorly, maybe they just don’t care about any one other than themselves. Whatever they cause of lack of gratitude, it will only lead to misery.

I can’t imagine having someone make me a meal and not showing sincere appreciation for it. That is the best place to start your gratitude practice in the real world. Go see a friend, or family, or even go to a restaurant and thank everyone in there that provides you with even the smallest thing. It will make a difference.

Don’t go patting yourself on the back just yet you grateful wonderful human being. There is another step in the process of gratitude that you need to know about. It is the self gratitude step.

What you are going to do now is make a list of all the things that you have to be grateful for. Don’t be shy or modest either, I want you to keep writing in this list until you have absolutely nothing left to think about.

Make sure that you are writing about the smallest things possible too, because someone else doesn’t have those things. I’m going to show you how it’s done.

I AM GRATEFUL FOR:

1. My Lungs – I just quit smoking. It has been three weeks and I haven’t felt this good in a decade.

2. Clean Air – I do live beside one of the busiest highways in the world, but it is still better than some places.

3. My Fingers – I can write this post, play guitar, scratch my dogs chin and pick my nose. Thank you fingers

As you can see, there is so much to just be grateful for that you could spend as long as you need writing down that list.

Another Useful Exercise:

There is another exercise that you can use to get over yourself. It is called exercise. That’s right, exercise. I don’t mean plop yourself onto a tread mill or go and buy an overpriced gym membership, what i’m talking about is going outside and playing.

Get on a bicycle, go for a walk, go kayaking, anything will do. Just get out there and do it.

You know that it is good for you. Why aren’t you doing it?

It will get the endorphins flowing which is going to produce good moods and that is going to lead to you to think more clearly about why it is great to be you.

Stop reading this. RIGHT NOW! Go for a fast paced ten minute walk. This article is going to still be here when you get back. Get out there, go now!

Welcome Back!

I bet you are feeling slightly winded right now. If like my former self, you don’t do that very often, I can safely assume that you are slightly winded. Don’t worry, it will pass and you will feel better about yourself for accomplishing even a small thing like a ten minute walk.

There are apps that you can get to congratulate yourself for doing those things. I don’t think that they are all that useful and seem like an artificial form of self esteem, but I think that a lot of people need that kind of encouragement to get their asses off the couch.

So have you figured out why being you is awesome yet?

You are just going to have to take this advice and keep working towards liking yourself. Someday it will happen, you just need to take action for it to happen.

What Do I Want?

So what do I want? To be more specific, what do you want? This question is not as easily answerable as you might think. It is more complex than, I want a new car, or I want a hotter wife. It is the question that you base your entire life around. It is not just about what you want right now, it is about how you plan on living the rest of your life.

Because of the fact that your entire life could revolve around taking the time to answer this simple little question, you better give it some deep thought. I don’t just mean a quick little ponder either. You are going to have to seriously meditate on this little question.

There is no easy way to answer it either. Let me give you same tips on how to properly answer it.

Tip #1 You are going to have to think about what you would do if money wasn’t a problem. If you automatically had enough money to do whatever made you happiest in life, what would you be doing?

Would you be outside taking pictures of birds? Perhaps you might prefer to spend your time on an off road motorcycle flying through the countryside at high speeds. Some people would say that they would just want to sit in front of the television all day long, eating deliciously unhealthy food and only getting off of their lardy butts to use the bathroom.

Well, do that. If it makes you happy, do it. Don’t worry about money, it will come later. If you become great at whatever you do, it will make you money eventually.

Tip #2 Who do you want to be? Well, obviously you can only be you, but who do you want to be like? Is there a favorite rock star, motocross rider, fitness model, theoretical physicist or TV host that you really admire? Find out how they got to where they are. Then copy what they did to get there.

It may sound simple, but it really isn’t. I can guarantee that anyone who became successful didn’t get there easily. Some people are handed fortunes as soon as they are born, but that’s not you. You are going to have to earn everything that you want.

Tip#3 Start writing down ideas. Keep a little pad of paper and a pen in your pocket. This way, whenever you get inspiration about “What do I want?” you can quickly jot it down.

At the end of the day, when you empty your pockets, read the notes that you wrote. It will feel like your subconscious is trying to tell you exactly what you want to know. Those notes will come randomly and sporadically, so be sure to keep that pen ready for them to strike.

Those are just a few hints to think about while you try to figure out what you want most in life.

So lets stop thinking for a second and put a gun against your head.

Now, while life has this gun to your head, and its finger in the trigger, i’m going to ask you something. Listen carefully because you really don’t want to get this wrong.

If you had to spend all day out of the house, what would you want to do?

It seems like an easy question,  but lets think about it. You are only allowed to come home to sleep, you have to be outside from sunrise to sunset. What are you going to do?

What I would do, is ride my motorcycle. I have actually made a motovlog about doing just that. If you like shameless plugs, you should really check out my latest video about how it feels to ride a motorcycle. That is how I am going to turn my beloved hobby into a career.

What do you Stand for?

What are you passionate about? What makes you angry? What makes you want to destroy the planet? What aspects of life do you feel need to change?

What i’m trying to ask is, do you have a cause? You know that there are things worth fighting for, right? Find a cause. Maybe you already have one. Maybe you know someone who is standing up for and fighting for what they believe in. You could make your life worthwhile and find out what you want if you know that you have a cause worth fighting for.

Many of historys greatest figures are all freedom fighters. They all had causes that they fought for. Poverty, illegal taxation, war, homelessness, gay rights, womens rights, equal rights for all races. Those are just a few causes that created the monumental figures of Susan B, Anthony, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and the list of names goes on for miles.

If you want to really find your lifes purpose and answer the question that we are all wondering, then you may want to find a cause that is worth fighting for.

This is not the end thought. The answer is always changing and evolving. I sincerely hope that you stay on top of your dreams and have the discipline to get it done.

Alan Watts PhilosophyI have recent stumbled across a genius of momentous proportions. He has probably come closer to spiritual enlightenment than anyone that I have ever heard of.

I Need Motivational Music

So you wanna get pumped eh? Wanna get that primal energy? Are you looking for the kind of natural high that only truly powerful music can give?

Look no further my friend. I have your motivational music fix right here. This is what gets me going and keeps me going. I can power through anything while listening to this.

Thrash Metal Motivational Music

My first selection to power up your inner beast is a fine selection of thrash metal. This is a medley from some of the finest names in the business. Your parents might not understand this development in music, but you know that the music of your generation is much more powerful than theirs.

Epic Cinematic Orchestral Motivational Music

Second on my list of motivational music is cinematic orchestral music. I found this by typing “Epic Music” in to the Youtube. This is what I use for writing and coding. There are no lyrics to get distracted by so you dont need to think about it all.

The only problem with cinematic motivational music is that, if you listen to it while doing mundane tasks, such as the laundry, it is going to make the rest of your life with out this music seem extremely dull.

I know it’s not for everyone. All that I ask is that you give it a try for at least 20 minutes. You will either agree with me or call me an idiot. Either way, at least I got you to open your mind a little bit.

Dubstep Motivational Music

This is a bit of a tricky subject. I know that a lot of people don’t understand and even hate the new genre of Dubstep. I might be a bit of a freak when I say this, but I put it in the headphones and it helps me drown out every thought except the ones that I need to focus on one project.

This particular track that I picked for all you motivationally deprived head bangers is by one of my personal favorites in the scene. Mr. Flux Pavilion!

He absolutely obliterates people minds with his music. Even after I found this track to add to this article I had to grab my head phones and plug into this experience.

Even after just listening to the intros to some of these songs I get pumped. The ideas flow through my neural transmitters and the action that turns thought into reality becomes effortless.

Please enjoy these tracks but remember, stay focused on the right project. Many good hours have been lost to Minecraft while this music motivated me to create an entire empire.

I’ve Still Quit – Day 8 – Everything Stinks

So it has been a full week without tobacco. I have still been taking hits off of the vaporizer for the past two days. That is kind of disappointing to me because I wanted to be completely nicotine free.

This is only the first step. I only have one thing of nicotine vaporizer juice and I don’t plan on getting anymore when it runs out. I’ll probably even sell the vapor device on kijiji.

I don’t know if it is unhealthy or not but my concern is that it is still addictive. I don’t want to have to rely on anything to get me through the day. I will only use my pure unbreakable spirit and willpower to get me through.

I actually have quit many times. For a few months it seemed like I tried to quit on an almost weekly basis. The only problem with that was, as soon as I got back to work I walked into a stressful situation and my main coping mechanism was to light up a butt.

programmers motivation

It is kind of sad to think about all of the money that I wasted in the past as well. I figure that it is about $5 per day for the past decade that iv’e spent on cigarettes. 5 x 3650 = $18250.

I don’t think that there is an emoticon that can properly display my complete disgust with myself when I consider those numbers. Whats worse is that it was a low estimate. Iv’e been smoking for longer than 10 years. It is only for the past 10 years, I have had a steady source of income.

It’s pathetic to think that I am more worried about my finances than my health though. I have seen the entire world realize that they cause cancer and I just kept on happily smoking those coffin nails.

Thanks for reading this little blurb that I had to get out. Writing it has helped the cravings to pass. I wonder how long it will be until I stop thinking about the habit that I have carried with me for more than half of my life.

Day Three – No Tobacco

DISCLAIMER: I decided to not edit this at all. I want it to properly convey the frustration that I was feeling while on my third day without cigarettes and nicotine.

I have finally decided to take the plunge. To dare to dream and finally rid myself of this curse that has haunted me for most of my life. I have chose to quit smoking cigarettes and to stop any form of nicotine consumption all together.

This is not really a choice that I was willing to make. I had spent many happy years consuming this carcinogen and a moderate rate. I had probably attempted to quit smoking about 20 or so times over the years. It would seem as though I was getting ready to quit quitting.

It was only when I realised how to overcome all of my excuses would I ever be able to quit this horrible addiction.

I had to quit my job. The only excuse that kept me tied to the coffin nails was that my job was highly stressful and i needed them to help me to calm down during the day. Now that was a valid excuse, did have a extremely stressfull job. I had dozens of people bringing me hundreds of problems everyday.
I quit that job three days ago and as i write this it is my third day without any kind of tobacco or nicotine replacement.

It has been a new experince for me. I don’t know if hell exists but if it does, i would be safe to thik that this is how the people in hell feel all of the time.
to be perfectly honest, the first two days were hell.

It can be described as twitchy confusion interspersed with hostility and undirected rage. the third day is just confustion. I guess it isn’t all that bad because I still have the ability to drap this machine out of storage and hack out a quck story about my struggles.

I do feel better though. Not physically better, but mentally better. I feel that this is probably one of the most important things that I have ever done in my life. I know that with this major accomplishment out of the way, I can achieve anything that i set my mind on.

Physically, i feel like crap. My lungs feel like they have hardedend up, i am having to constantly clear phlegm from my throat and i can barely work up the energy to do anything.

I still managed to get a few things done today though. I suppose that this will be the discipline practice that i need to focus and implement all of my intent towards attaining my dreams.

I have been getting all sorts of good, unsolicited advice from people. The one bit of advice that is consisten from everyone is that I should stay away from the things that compliment cigarettes. Things such as coffee, beer, sex, driving and big meals.

Its solid advice but I have been tempting myself with beer and enjoying delicious coffee everymorning. I did get a Timmies that nearly brought me to tears when I didn’t have a butt to go with it. The beer just loosesns me up and makes me more courageous. Strengthens my willpower. I haven’t had any big meals to consume in the past few day to test my resolve and as far as an after sex smoke is concerned, I might have sex again. I hope that I have sex again and when that day comes, i will be prepared to reinforce my willpower and stay nicotine free.

I am trying to organise my thoughts about the situation as much as I possibly can but for some reason i find that my mind is slightly more muddled than usual. I will be publishing this peice unedited in order to properly portray how my emotional state is affecting my ablity to properly convey a scentence.

Thank you for spending the time to read this. I hope that you have never chose to smoke cigarettes and that you will never ave to go through the horrendous experience of quitting.

Bruce Lee – Master of Discipline

Any one who has never heard of Bruce Lee is missing out on a great story of an amazing man.

He was an martial artist, actor, father, husband, and inspiration to everyone around him.

I was just perusing motivational quotes online and found this picture that I would like to share with all of you.

Bruce Lee - Better than Yesterday

That is such a good quote that I am going to make that my desktop background. Say goodbye to, “Do your work. Don’t be stupid.” Say hello to “The only person you need to be better than, is the person you were yesterday.”
